Former UFC champion Khabib Nurmagomedov may have turned down a staggering $100 million to face undefeated legendary boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr.

The 32-year-old Russian mixed martial artist was said to have promised his mother he would not return to the Octagon without his father while retiring from the sport in October 2020.

And this is probably the main reason he is snubbing the mega-million fight as his manager Ali Abdelaziz could not give a more valid reason for this decision.

Khabib's representative also revealed that ex-UFC welterweight and middleweight champion Georges St-Pierre is equally looking for an opportunity to face the Russian but that seems impossible at the moment according to reports from MMA India and Daily Mail. Ali said:

“Two weeks ago, (or) 10 days ago, Dana White called me. “He said, ‘Georges St-Pierre, he said he’ll fight Khabib in a non-title fight at 165 pounds.’ In a way, we’ve been waiting for Georges. I like Georges. He’s my friend. I like Georges. … We’ve been waiting for Georges for four or five years. ‘I’m coming. I’m not coming.’ … Now, (St-Pierre) said, ‘Hey, Khabib is retired. I’m retired. What about coming back and fighting Khabib now?'
“But you know, Khabib got offered $100 million after he was retired to fight Floyd Mayweather,” Abdelaziz continued. “$100 million. $100 million. You can ask Floyd. You can ask everybody. Khabib said, ‘No, I’m retired. I told my mother I’m retired. I’m going to keep my word to my mother. If my mother told me to fight again, maybe I will. But right now, she told me not to fight.’”

Meanwhile, Abdelaziz was said to have told Georges St-Pierre to fight current UFC welterweight champion, Kamaru Usman if he is considering coming out of retirement anytime soon.

Legit.ng earlier reported that Boxing legend Floyd Mayweather has revealed that he is not all about flashy cars and lifestyle saying he owns several investments including nine buildings in New York City alone.

The 44-year-old retired boxer who hanged his gloves winning all 50 of his professional fight is ready to step out of retirement for the first time since August 2017 to face off with Paul Logan.

Mayweather was passionate about telling the people how much he takes investment seriously, indicating that his life is not all about spendings but he is also concerned about making money.
