Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce has previously given a hilarious response when asked whether she will ever remove her wig before a race.
The question came about after the United States Champion, Sha'Carri Richardson removed her hairpiece during the national trials in July.
Richardson, who was spotting a red wig, disposed of it on the track just before she ran. Her new status as national champion meant that, for the first time in her career, she competed in a major championship.
And compete she did, in astonishing fashion as she surprised favourites, Fraser-Pryce and Shericka Jackson to win the title on August 21. Richardson ran 10.65 seconds, a world-leading time, in Budapest despite almost missing the finals.
Richardson comments on wig incident
Richardson was asked about the wig and she took it off, as Sports Brief previously reported:
"The reason why I did the wig reveal; I had my orange hair last time, I wanted to show I'm still that girl but I'm better, stronger, and wiser," she explained.
The American sprinter used times of 10.71 and 10.82 seconds to win the trials. The former was a world lead for a day before Jamaica's Shericka Jackson shattered it.
Fraser-Pryce responds to 'wig incident'
Fraser-Pryce, who is also known for sporting bold wigs on race days, remarked that if she ever removes her wig during a race, it won't be of her own doing.
"The only way I am removing a wig from my executive collection is if it flies mid stride and I am not planning on that happening ever!" she responded, per YardHype.

Fraser-Pryce's background
That Fraser-Pryce will go down in history as one of the greatest sprinters - male or female - is no longer in question. The only thing she hasn't been able to do in the women's 100m is to break the long-standing record of Florence Griffith-Joyner, set in 1988.
Flo-Jo used a whopping 10.49 seconds in a 100-metre dash at the U.S Olympic trials, and no one has broken that record more than three decades later. Some will argue it was massively wind-assisted though.
Fraser-Pryce has gone ahead to write her own history. Born in Kingston, Jamaica, Sports Brief reported she grew up in a violence-stricken environment and was raise by a single mother. She started running barefoot while in primary school at the tender age of 10.
