A captivating 3D simulation has been meticulously crafted to envision the exhilarating spectacle of a 100-metre race between Usain Bolt and Kylian Mbappe.

The iconic Jamaican sprinter is renowned as the fastest man on Earth. Meanwhile, the dynamic Paris Saint-Germain forward has certainly clocked some impressive speeds on the football pitch.

According to the Sun, the French captain ran the length of the pitch in 11 seconds during a Ligue 1 clash against Marseille, recording a top speed of 22.4mph in February 2021.

Even though Mbappe's 100m time has never been recorded on a track, YouTube channel, Speed Showdown, has calculated a time based on his fastest-ever speed of 23.6mph [38km/h].

As reported by Sport Bible, the experiment includes multiple camera perspectives of the virtual race, including the point of view of the French star - who is immediately overtaken by Bolt.

The 3D simulation captures the essence of the pair's remarkable abilities, igniting imagination and bringing to life an electrifying display of athleticism between two giants of speed.

Many fans might be surprised to learn that Mbappe did not rank among the top 10 quickest players in the UEFA Champions League's group stage last year.

Instead, Mykhailo Mudryk - a former Shakhtar Donetsk winger who now plays for Chelsea - and Barcelona forward, Ousmane Dembele, are tied for the fastest speed in the competition.

Bolt considering return to athletics

In related news, Sports Brief reported on Bolt hinting at returning to athletics, six years after he called it quits as a multiple record-holder and multi-time champion.

The 36-year-old feels charisma and enthusiasm have been sucked out of athletics and believes he can help bring back some of that flair with his active influence.

Why Mbappe cannot join Madrid

Elsewhere, Yvan Le Mee, the agent representing Real Madrid defender Ferland Mendy, has dismissed the possibility of Mbappe signing for Real Madrid.

Sports Brief reported that his current contract is set to expire next summer, and he has communicated his decision not to exercise a one-year extension.
