Five-time World Champion and two-time Olympic champion in women's 100 metres, Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce has arrived in the country ahead of the Kip Keino classic on Saturday.
Fraser-Pryce is the latest to jet in among the plethora of stars expected to grace the third edition of the Continental Tour Gold at the Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani.
The Jamaican received the lucrative Laureus Female Sports Athlete of the Year 2023 last evening in Paris before making her way to Nairobi to open her season.
Other stars already in the country include world javelin champion Anderson Peters, World Leader in 100 metres Sha'Carri Richardson and Olympic silver medalist Kenny Bednarek, three-time Olympic hammer throw champion, Anita Włodarczyk, among others.

Speaking after her arrival, Fraser-Pryce expressed confidence in starting off positively on Saturday. She ran an impressive 10.67 seconds last year.
This comes at a time when home hero Ferdinand Omanyala has promised fireworks as he seeks to lower his African record. The Commonwealth champion has the fastest time in the continent of 9.77 seconds.
Omanyala is fresh from making his debut in the 150 metres race where he finished third in the Atlanta City Games behind Noah Lyles and Erriyon Knighton. He will be up against Bednarek in the penultimate race of the day.
