What does Kipchoge eat?
The 38-year-old has remarkably maintained his standards thanks to a diet that consists mainly of proteins and carbohydrates. His weekly training routine sees him clock over 200 kilometres.
His favourite food is ugali, which is common in many Kenyan households. Ugali is made from flour grounded from maize. Kipchoge loves his ugali served with managu, a popular Kenyan vegetable or with beans and potatoes to restore the energy lost during his intense sessions.
The two-time Olympic Gold medalist interchanges ugali with chapati and rice. Chapati is made from wheat flour and traces its origin to India.
