- US-born Ghanaian unicyclist Trey Whaun has been given a grand durbar to celebrate his exploits at the World Unicycling championship
- The Mamprugu-based unicyclist won two medals at the Unicycling championship in France earlier this month
- Trey Whaun and his family have been living in the North East part of Ghana since they arrived in the country eight years ago
American-born Ghanaian unicyclist, Trey Whaun, has been welcomed in a grandiose manner by the people of Mamprugu following his return from the Unicycling Championship in France.
Trey Whaun won two medals from the championship in Paris early this month.
A grand durbar was thrown for the unicyclist as he showcased his skills in front of Chiefs, MP's and friends.
"Speechless. That is what we are. Mamprugu threw us a festival this weekend in Nalerigu that we never would have dreamed possible. Hundreds attended - children, chiefs, politicians, drummers, fiddlers, musicians, and most importantly: our dear friends," wrote William Whaun, the father of Trey on Twitter.

"We have dedicated the last 8 years of our lives to serving this community in order to demonstrate God’s sacrificial love for them in a tangible way. The outpouring of love from Nalerigu, Mamprugu and all of Ghana has touched our hearts and will stay with us forever.

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Ghanaian teen Trey Whaun has bagged two medals at the Unicycling championship in France.
