An official of the Ghana Athletics Association cannot be found after the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham.
The delegate who is yet to be identified is believed to have absconded after the games in England.
According to 3 Sports, the official is parts of athletes and delegates from participating countries to have left camp without notice.
“We’ve received a total of 17 missing people reports from visiting Commonwealth Games delegations – 13 competitors and four other delegation members. Of those, nine have since been found and eight remain outstanding," a force spokesperson said as quoted by 3 Sports.

“We’re making enquiries alongside immigration officials to ensure they are safe and well.”
Seventeen athletes and delegates were reported missing since the start of the competition two weeks ago, with 13 being competitors while four were part of individual teams.
Nine have been found with eight still unaccounted for. Two boxers from Pakistan, five from Sri Lanka and an official from Ghana have still not been found.
Ghana finished the Commonwealth Games with five medals, including three bronze and two silver.

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Joseph Paul Amoah has won bronze in the 200m final at the 2022 Commonwealth Games.
The Ghanaian sprinter clocked a time of 20.49 to finish behind Zharnel Zughes and Jareem Richards of England and Trinidad and Tobago respectively.

Joseph Paul Amoah made the podium of the 2022 Commonwealth Games after claiming bronze in the 200m race.
The Ghanaian sprinter finished third in the 200m final with a time of 20.49s to win bronze behind England's Zharnel Hughes and Trinidad and Tobago's Jareem Richards.
In photos posted on social media, the Ghanaian athlete was filled with joy as he chalked a piece of history at the Commonwealth Games.
