1. Tobi Amusan - Nigeria, 100 metres hurdles
Tobi Amusan will remember the 2022 World Athletics Championships in Oregon for the rest of her life. The Nigerian broke the world record in the women's 100 metres hurdles twice en route to winning gold at the championships.
Amusan started off her day by clocking an incredible 12.12 in the semifinals to break the 12.20 record of American Kendra Harrison in 2016.
But she was not yet done. Barely two hours later, she ran a phenomenal 12.06 seconds to break her record again. However, the 12.06 record won't go down as a World Record as it was greatly wind-assisted.
Amusan's triumph was the first time ever that Nigeria has ever won gold at the senior World Athletics championships.

She also became the second-youngest athlete to ever hold an Olympic title, a world title and the world record at the same time. She is only still 22 years old, mark you
3. Mondo Duplantis - Sweden - Pole Vault
Another 22-year-old who constantly keeps defying the force of gravity. Holding the record at 6.20 metres from the World Indoor Championships in March, Duplantis added a centimetre to his record to take it to 6.21 metres.
Duplantis is now both a World and Olympic champion.
