Leeds United star Kalvin Philips has insisted he is happy at the club despite interest from Man United.
United have widely been linked with a possible transfer move for the Englishman, with interim boss Ralf Rangnick understood to be a huge admirer.
Rangnick is said to have singled out the midfield department as one of the key areas that need strengthening and suggested the Red Devils should go all out and sign Philips.
Metro UK reports the Red Devils will prioritise the transfer for the Leeds star over that of Declan Rice who is valued at a staggering £100m.
However, Philips, who is currently out injured with a hamstring problem has revealed his immediate focus is to regain his full fitness.
Speaking to the Daily Mail, the 26-year-old further downplayed a possible departure from Leeds, insisting he is happy at Elland Road.
"Going from Championship to Premier League to England Player of the Year, it was an eye-opener and made me realise, “I can do this”,’ Phillips told The Mail.
"Everything came together, the hard work taking me where I wanted to be. If I carry on doing that, who knows where I’ll end up."
"I just want to focus on getting back fit,’ he says. ‘But I speak to the owner regularly. I want a new contract. I’m very happy here," he added.
