Yaya Toure played with many superstars during his active days at Barcelona and Manchester City, but only three players have left an impression on the Ivory Coast legend.
The Ivorian, who is currently an assistant coach for the Saudi Arabia national team, had stints in England with Manchester City, Spain with Barcelona, Olympiacos in Greece and Qingdao Huanghai in China.
In a recent interview, Toure picked Chelsea legend Didier Drogba, Barcelona’s Andreas Iniesta, and Bayern Munich’s Leroy Sane as the best players he has played alongside during his career.
The ex-Manchester City midfielder picked Drogba as the strongest, Iniesta as the smartest and Sane as the fastest teammate he has had during his stints in England and Spain.
Toure won multiple trophies in a successful career, including the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Super Cup, FIFA Club World Cup, La Liga, English Premier League and FA Cup.
Toure targets EPL managerial role
Meanwhile, Yaya Toure says he hopes to manage in the English Premier League in the future and believes he has the ability to be successful at the job if he gets it, Sky Sports reports.
The former Manchester City midfielder joined Ukrainian Premier League club Olimpik Donetsk as assistant manager in 2021 but left the position after 4 months at the club.
Toure, who is presently the assistant coach of the Saudi Arabia national team, has had stints as assistant manager with Russian club Akhmat Grozny and English Premier League side Tottenham.
