Egyptian side, Zamalek have addressed reports linking former Mamelodi Sundowns boss, Pitso Mosimane to the club amid a rumoured return to the Premier Soccer League (PSL).
The South African tactician's future at UAE Pro League side, Al Wahda is in doubt due to their poor start to the season and he has been linked with several clubs recently.
The Egyptian side is currently struggling under coach Juan Carlos Osorio, and they are rumoured to be interested in bringing Mosimane back to the country's top flight league.
Zamalek are struggling with eight points in six games so far this season and they are seventh on the league table, according to a report by GOAL.
However, a club board member, Ahmed Soliman has denied claims they are in talks with Mosimane, as cited by Egyptian media outlet, Kingfut.
"Osorio will continue his tasks in managing Zamalek. We have not contacted Mosimane or any other replacement for Osorio," Soliman said.
Soliman also confirmed that the Zamalek board fully supported the current managerial staff and have put forward a plan to pay all their wages.
"We’ve also put a plan to pay all the managerial staff’s wages. We fully support them, and they have our backing," he added.
Aside from Zamalek, Mosimane has also been rumoured to be one of the candidates to replace the recently-sacked Molefi Ntseki at Kaizer Chiefs.
Al Wahda secured all three points in their last game against Ajman, although assistant manager, Maahier Davids was in charge due to the South African's recent health issues.
