Super Falcons defender, Michelle Alozie returned to the Texas Children's Cancer Center and was met with a hero's welcome.

The Nigeria international became a popular figure on social media due to her performances for the Super Falcons at the just concluded 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup, which was hosted by Australia and New Zealand.

She has since become one of the top players at her club, the Houston Dash, in the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) in the US.

The Texas Children's Cancer and Hematology Center took to their official pages on social media to announce the return of Alozie, sharing pictures and a video, according to the Houston Chronicle.

Alozie was seen donning the Super Falcons jersey as she met with patients and also the staff of the center.

"Our Texas Children's Cancer and Hematology Center held a celebration welcoming the cancer research technician/professional soccer player back to Houston following her amazing performance at the @fifawomensworldcup earlier this summer.

In another post, the Texas Children's Cancer and Hematology Center shared a video on X with a lovely caption.

"At the top of her to-do list now that she’s home? Spend time with our patients.
"On the pitch, Michelle Alozie is a #WorldCup soccer star for Nigeria and Houston Dash player. Off the pitch, she's a Yale molecular biology grad and dedicated cancer research technician at Texas Children's tackling AML in kids! 🌟💪 #ChildhoodCancer #TexasChildrensHospital"

Alozie tattoos Nigerian code on thigh

Sports Brief earlier reported that Nigerian football fans are making efforts to decode the tattooed inscription on the thigh of Michelle Alozie.

Alozie shared a picture of herself, and curious fans spotted the inscription on her thigh, which shows "+234"- Nigeria’s international dialling code.

Despite the photo looking a tad blurry, eagle-eyed fans could unravel what was written there, and many have continued to react.
