Wilfred Zaha, the former Manchester United winger, has finalized his transfer to esteemed Turkish club Galatasaray.
The 30-year-old Ivory Coast forward became a free agent after his contract with Crystal Palace in the Premier League expired at the end of last month.
According to the BBC, Palace had offered Zaha a substantial weekly wage of £200,000 in a bid to retain him at the club where he had spent most of his career, but he opted for a new adventure in Turkey.
During the transfer window, Zaha's talents garnered interest from various clubs, including Italy's Lazio, Saudi League's Al-Nassr, and another Galatasaray rival, Fenerbahce.
In the end, he opted to join the current Turkish champions, who are set to participate in the 2023-24 Champions League.
Zaha, who represented England twice before choosing to play for the Ivory Coast, showcased his talent by scoring an impressive 90 goals in 458 matches for Crystal Palace, a club he had been associated with since the young age of 12, per Transfermarkt.
Upon being announced as the latest addition to the Istanbul powerhouse, Wilf was introduced to an enthusiastic crowd that hailed their new star.

The beautiful painting of the ex-Manchester United striker was unveiled by the forward on Friday ahead of Crystal Palace's final game of the season.

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Crystal Palace star, Wilfried Zaha, has explained the difference between playing for Ivory Coast and England.
The two-time capped England player switched nationalities to play for Ivory Coast in 2016.
In an interview with Total Media podcast, the 29-year-old stated that there is a massive difference in playing for the two countries, claiming there is a major infrastructural deficit with African countries.
