Premier League's matchweek 15 produced some interesting results across England, as teams seek to finish on a high note before the season breaks for the 2022 World Cup.

Arsenal, Man City, Liverpool and Newcastle United were among the biggest gainers after the latest round of fixtures.

City remain second on the log with 32 points, five points ahead of Newcastle United, who sneaked into third after thumping Southampton 4-1.

Man United, Chelsea suffer blow

Tottenham Hotspur dropped to fourth following their 2-1 humbling defeat against Liverpool, with Antonio Conte's men now trailing Newcastle by a point.

Elsewhere, English giants Man United and Chelsea suffered a top-four blow over the weekend after they lost their respective fixtures.

United were hammered 3-1 at Aston Villa to miss out on a golden chance to break into the top four, with the Blues' 1-0 defeat against Arsenal leaving them sitting seventh on the log with 21 points.

Nottingham Forest remain bottom with 10 points despite their 2-2 hard-fought draw against Brentford, with Southampton and Wolves the other two sides in the relegation zone.

Arsenal want Youri Tielemans signed

Earlier, Sports Brief reported Arsenal fans have pleaded with the club and Mikel Arteta to sign Youri Tielemans, who scored another wonder strike in Leicester City's 2-0 win over Everton.

Tielemans was close to joining Arsenal this past summer, but they did not make an offer to the Foxes.

Tielemans's contract with Leicester ends at the end of the season, and Gunners fans want the club to sign him in January.
