- Ronaldo found the back of the net during United's game against Everton at Goodison Park
- Rather than go for the usual SIUUU celebration, Ronaldo clasped his hand and faced upwards together with his teammate Antony
Cristiano Ronaldo momentarily ditched his trademark celebration after scoring against Everton on October 9 at Goodison Park.
The moment was momentous for Ronaldo's career as it was his 700th club goal. The striker came off the bench to replace Anthony Martial, who picked up yet another injury.
Ronaldo was at 699 goals ahead of United's Europa League clash last week against Omonia. He was left frustrated after the goalkeeper thwarted several of his efforts to find the back of the net.
He was not to be denied against Everton however, just before the stroke of half-time. Casemiro lost the ball in the middle of the area before quickly winning it back and setting Ronaldo on his way.

The Portuguese striker fended off pressure from Conor Coady and Jordan Pickford, who were quickly closing him down, to land the milestone.
Ronaldo celebrated differently after scoring
Rather oddly, instead of performing his trademark SIUUU celebration, Ronaldo rushed to the corner flag and, together with Antony, unleashed a new celebration.
The celebration appeared to be akin to a prayer as the duo clasped their hands, closed their eyes and faced their heads upwards.
It turned out to be the final goal of the game. Everton had gone ahead via Alex Iwobi before Antony scored in his third successive Premier League game.
Ronaldo is now the first player in football's history to reach 700 club career goals.
