According to The Sun, Rashford is now training again — and feels ready for the Etihad showdown.
His availability will be a timely boost for Ten Hag, with Cristiano Ronaldo currently struggling for form.
Ronaldo has scored only once since the start of the new season, with his only goal coming against Sheriff Tiraspol in the Europa League.
Man United team news ahead of the Manchester derby
Meanwhile, despite the positive news on Rashford, United are likely to miss the services of Harry Maguire when they battle Man City.
The United skipper appeared to have picked a hamstring injury while in action for England during the international break.
Maguire, who played the entire 90 minutes of England's clash vs Germany, was spotted limping off the pitch shortly after the match.
The former Leicester City star has not been involved with the Red Devils in recent weeks, having been relegated to the bench by Lisandro Martinez.
