"We are all very excited about starting our defence of the trophy in Glasgow. I believe we have a really strong squad this season.
"It's a busy period with two games in a week, but we love that. It's always better to be playing games. Whatever team we pick on Tuesday it won't matter because we are so strong in all positions across the pitch.”

Real Madrid had the best preparation for the resumption of the UEFA Champions League with a 2-0 win against Real Betis last weekend with Rodrygo registering a goal for the La Liga champions.

Carlo Ancelotti hails 'special' Rodrygo after his winner against Real Betis

Carlo Ancelotti thinks Rodrygo has finally established himself at the club after the Brazilian scored the game-winning goal in Los Blancos' 2-1 victory over Real Betis on Saturday, September 3.

Italian coach believes Rodrygo is now ready to kick on as a key member of the Real Madrid team following his maturity as a striker Daily Mail reports.

Rodrygo came to Real Madrid's aid, preserving Los Blancos' perfect start to the season after Betis winger Sergio Canales equalized to negate Vinicius Junior's opening goal for Carlo Ancelotti's team.

Earlier, Sports Brief reported Rodrygo scored the winner as Real Madrid made it four wins from four in La Liga on Saturday with a 2-1 victory that ended Real Betis' perfect start to the season.

Vinicius Junior struck for the third game running as Madrid took an early lead at the Santiago Bernabeu, but Sergio Canales soon equalised with a goal against his former club.

Rodrygo secured maximum points for Carlo Ancelotti's side just past the hour with his first goal of the campaign.
