Young Africans popularly known as Yanga were crowned the champions of the Tanzanian top-flight division, Ligi Kuu Bara, over the weekend.
Yanga had won the league with three games left but were officially handed the title after their game against Mbeya City FC. It was Yanga's 28th league title in their history.
But it was the title parade that even got fans across Africa talking. The Yellow and Green clad fans thronged the city of Dar Es Salaam to celebrate their latest achievement. They ended a four-year dominance by their arch-rivals Simba FC also known as the Wekundu wa Msimbazi.
IPP Media reports that the parade started at the Julius Nyerere international airport before going to the streets of Kamata, Msimbazi and Samora.

Yanga FC are now one game away from going the whole season unbeaten. They will play Mtibwa Sugar on Wednesday, looking to build on their 21 wins and eight draws.
Yanga fans are always ready to pamper their players with love and rousing reception
This is not the first time that Yanga fans have showered their club with love. Sports Brief had earlier reported that footage had surfaced online showing how fans of Tanzanian football giants Young Africans adore their club. The video, posted by the club’s Chief Executive Officer Senzo Mbatha, shows the fans welcoming the club to Kigoma for a Premier League fixture.

FootballYanga, as the club is popularly known, enjoys a cult following in Tanzania. The club is involved in a fearsome rivalry with Simba SC whose nickname is ‘Wekundu Wa Msimbazi.’
The club was given a Presidential welcome with a convoy lining up from the airport. Yanga was in Kigoma to play Ruvu Shooting Stars in a Premier League game that ended in a goalless draw.
