Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has confirmed Andreas Christensen will be leaving Stamford Bridge this summer.

The Denmark international has widely been linked with a potential exit at the end of the season, with Barcelona understood to be in a pole position to land his services.

The Sun reports the Blues had offered him a new contract but the uncertainty over the ownership of the club left the defender with no choice but to leave.

Tuchel has now come out to reveal Chelsea stand no chance of keeping Christensen beyond the ongoing season.

"We're losing him," SunSport quoted Tuchel saying.

Where is Andreas Christensen heading?

According to transfer guru, Fabrizio Romano, the Danish star is set to join Barcelona on a free transfer.

Romano divulged that the 26-year-old reached a deal to move to Camp Nou weeks ago.

"The deal has been completed weeks ago with Barcelona, it's already signed: Danish centre back will play for Barça next season," the Italian journalist tweeted.

Christensen's imminent departure comes just days after Chelsea lost Antonio Rudiger to Real Madrid.

The Germany international is said to have turned down a new deal at Stamford Bridge in order to seal a switch to Santiago Bernabeu at the end of the season.

The Blues silenced Manchester City's women's team 3-2 in the final of the competition to end the season on a positive note.

This was the fourth time Emma had led Chelsea to victory in the competition, with Drogba underscoring her significance in the team.
