The England international has barely featured for United this season, managing just three appearances across competitions.

However, the shot-stopper has been handed an escape route from his Old Trafford nightmare, with two Premier League clubs keen on his services.

The Sun reports newly-promoted EPL side, Bournemouth, are monitoring Henderson's situation at the Theatre of Dreams.

According to the publication, the Cherries are likely to face competition from Fulham who are also keen to sign him on loan.

Dean Henderson's tenure at Manchester United

Should either of the two clubs succeed in luring Henderson away on loan, it would not be the first time the Englishman will be temporarily departing the club.

The 25-year-old played a full season with former Premier League side Sheffield United in 2019-20.

His successful spell with the outfit saw him earn a new improved deal at United and was brought back to challenge David de Gea for the No.1 spot.

He came close to usurping the Spaniard last season when he enjoyed a brief stint as the club's No.1 as he made an incredible 26 appearances for the Red Devils.

However, he has since fallen down the pecking order at Old Trafford, forcing the shot-stopper to reconsider his future with United.

Ajax star denies plan to join Man United

Earlier, Sports Brief reported Sebastien Haller has broken his silence after reports emerged he could follow Erik ten Hag to Man United in the summer.

According to the Ajax striker, he has no intention of dumping the Dutch giants as he is happy at the Amsterdam-based club.

Haller has enjoyed a fine run of form under Ten Hag since his arrival at the club in January 2021 from West Ham United.
