Spanish powerhouse Real Madrid have reportedly agreed personal terms with Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger over a potential summer move.
Rudiger is set to quit the Stamford Bridge after he failed to sign an extension with the club.
Quite a number of top European clubs are on the trail of the 29-year-old defender who has really stepped up his game in the last year.
Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel disclosed after their game against West Ham that Rudiger has decided to leave the club when his contract expires in May.
And according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the German-born Sierra Leonean defender has reached a verbal agreement to join Real Madrid on a free transfer.
Further reports claim that Carlo Ancelotti is desperate to land Rudiger in the Spanish capital believing he would help toughen the squad’s backline.
Although Ancelotti is said to have confidence in Eder Militao, Nacho, and David Alaba, he believes Rudiger’s arrival will solidify his team’s defence.
Rudiger’s arrival would also allow David Alaba to move to the left-back, a position that has become problematic due to injury issues with Ferland Mendy and Marcelo.

The Manchester Evening News reported that the versatile defender rejected United’s advances in what could be a massive blow to the Red Devils.
