Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel was left fuming after he spotted the referee sharing a joke with his Real Madrid counterpart Carlo Ancelotti shortly after the Blues' Champions League heartbreak.
The Premier League giants were looking to overturn a 3-1 scoreline suffered in the first leg of their quarter-final tie with Real Madrid at Stamford Bridge.
However, Tuchel's men fell short of the target despite securing a 3-2 thrilling win over the La Liga giants at Santiago Bernabeu on Tuesday night, April 12.

BoxingChelsea's chaotic encounter was settled in the sixth minute of extra-time when Karim Benzema pounced to score Real's second goal to secure an astonishing 5-4 aggregate for the Spanish giants.
Mason Mount, Antonio Rudiger, and Timo Werner had earlier put the Blues on course to qualifying for the semis, only for Rodrygo to score with nine minutes left on the clock to force the tie into extra time.
It was during the period when Benzema's moment of magic eliminated Chelsea from the competition as Real progressed to the last four.
There was more drama after the final whistle of the clash as Tuchel was left angry with the referee for sharing a joke with Ancelotti.
While Tuchel was disappointed with the overall officiating of the tie, he was particularly bothered with the referee's decision to have a light moment with his opposite no.2.

"I was disappointed that the referee had a good time with my colleague, Carlo Ancelotti. I know Carlo is a gentleman and a nice guy, but when I wanted to go and say thank you for the match, I saw him smiling and laughing loudly with the opponents’ coach," he noted as quoted by Metro UK.
"I think this is the very, very wrong time to do this after a final whistle and 126 minutes where one team gave all their hearts and fought until the last drop," he added.
Earlier, Sports Brief reported Timo Werner has conceded he thought he had sent Chelsea to the semi-finals of the Champions League when he scored his side's third goal against Real Madrid.
Aware of the mountainous task before them, Thomas Tuchel's men kicked off a dominant performance at Bernabeu and took the lead after 15 minutes of action through Mason Mount.
