Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel is reportedly open to selling academy graduates Armando Broja and Faustino Anjorin to raise funds for summer transfer targets.

Tuchel is understood to have been told he will be backed the transfer window as he looks to build a strong team that will compete for more titles next season.

However, Metro UK reports the club are likely to be partly reliant on sales from within in order to complete their business.

According to the publication, Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is keen to see the club more self-sufficient after investing around £1.5bn into it.

The Evening Standard now claims the west Londoners will look to raise funds in the window by selling their academy products.

Broja, who has spent the season on loan at Southampton is among the players earmarked for sale.

The Albanian will not be short of suitors, with the Saints, Arsenal and Spurs among the clubs interested in his services.

Fellow academy star Anjorin could also be on his way out, with Tuchel reportedly prepared to sanction his departure.

Currently on loan with Huddersfield, the youngster is surplus to requirements at Stamford Bridge having been limited to just three appearances for the first team.

It is believed selling the duo could raise as much as £50m for the Blues, enough to boost their transfer kitty.

Chelsea, Liverpool named favourites for UCL

Earlier, Sports Brief reported Paul Merson has backed Liverpool and Chelsea to go all the way in this season's Champions League.

Despite the presence of Man City, PSG, and Bayern Munich in the competition, Merson contends the two Carabao Cup finalists have what it takes to win the UCL.

Merson cited the two teams' solid defences as the key that could catapult them to European glory this term.
