FootballMan United Star Step Away from Joining Premier League Rivals
- Donny van de Beek is on the verge of sealing a transfer move to Goodison Park from Man United
- The Man United midfielder is set to spend the rest of the season with the Toffees on loan
- His exit comes at a time he has endured a tumultuous spell with the Red Devils
Man United outcast Donny van de Beek is a step away from joining Premier League rivals Everton.
Sports Brief understands the midfielder is expected to spend the rest of the 2021/22 season with the Toffees on loan.
According to Sky Sports, a buy option has not been included in the deal, with the Toffees set to cover the midfielder's wages during his time at the club.
Van de Beek is said to be currently undergoing a medical at Goodinson Part ahead of his transfer.
The move comes after the former Ajax star enduring a torrid spell with the Red Devils since his arrival in the summer of 2020.
He has been a largely peripheral figure under ex-manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and current interim boss Ralf Rangnick.
Neither of the two tacticians has appeared to fancy him, with Rangnick limiting him to just 380 minutes of action this term without a Premier League start.
Van de Beek, who has three-and-a-half years to run on his contract at Old Trafford will have his future at United reassessed at the end of the season when a permanent manager is appointed.
In the interim, he will be hoping to make a major impact at Everton under Frank Lampard who is projected to take charge as manager.
