German Bundesliga legend, Oliver Kahn has opened up on meeting Al-Nassr forward Sadio Mane in Saudi Arabia recently.
The legendary shot-stopper paid a visit to the Middle East nation recently and toured the Knights of Najd's facilities.
The 54-year-old had the opportunity to meet Al-Nassr stars during his tour at the club, with his meeting with five-time Ballon d'Or winner, Cristiano Ronaldo and Mane being the major highlights.
During a recent interview, the former German international disclosed why he was happy to see the Senegalese winger again after his short spell with Bayern Munich.
"After the difficult time he had at FC Bayern, I was happy to finally see him smile again. He feels good and wants to win titles with his club," he said.
The Al-Nassr winger opted for a move to the Saudi Pro League in the summer transfer window after spending just one season with the Bavarians.
Mane was not the only one to have left Bayern Munich in the summer, Kahn was also shown the exit doors alongside other club officials following a turbulent 2022/23 season in the Bundesliga and elsewhere in Europe.
The former Southampton winger also had issues with one of his former teammates at Bayern, which led to him being suspended by the club.
The former Liverpool star is presently with the Senegalese national team set up as they are set to face Cameroon in an international friendly game, according to Soccerway.
Kahn delighted after reuniting with Mane
Sports Brief earlier reported that Kahn was delighted to meet Mane during his recent visit to Saudi Arabia.
The ex-Bayern Munich goalkeeper was given a tour of Al-Nassr's facilities as he arrived in Riyadh a few weeks ago.
During his time at the club's world-class stadium, Kahn took the opportunity to meet the Senegalese forward whom he helped Bayern Munich sign last season.
