WWE Legend John Cena Fights Back Tears as He Makes Decision on His Wrestling Future

WWE legend John Cena could hardly control his emotions on Monday night, June 27, as he made a return to the WWE to celebrate 20 years since he made his debut in the ring.

The 45-year-old used the occasion to discuss his wrestling future as he took centre stage in Laredo, Texas, to address ecstatic fans at Raw.

There were fears Cena could call time on his illustrious wrestling career after he decided to venture into Hollywood as an actor.

According to The Sun, the 45-year-old has since been limited to sporadic appearances in the WWE even as questions continued to linger on what the future held for him.

John Cena clarifies his wrestling future

And on Monday night, the 16-time WWE Champion made it clear that he intends to continue wrestling.

Standing inside the ring to address the WWE Universe, Cena took the time to thank everyone who has held his hand through his wrestling journey.

"It’s been 20 years and I’m 45 years old, I only state that because I don’t know when you’re gonna see me in the ring again. I’m not saying you won’t, I just don’t know when that’s going to be," he said.
"So I need to say this now – it ain’t just gonna be one [more match], don’t worry about it! I need to say this. Anything I do outside of this is never just me," he added.

Earlier, Sports Brief reported WWE legend The Rock left his cousin, Tamina, in tears of joy as he surprised her with a gift of a house.

The Hollywood star took to his Instagram to give fans a glimpse of the special moment when he handed the house to Tamina.

The 50-year-old WWE icon went on to reveal that his cousin, who is signed to the WWE went through 'tough times' growing up.
