The first round was strictly a kick-boxing match as both fighters sized each other up with a few leg kicks with none of the punches connecting.

There was much aggression from either side in the second round as Balachowicz threw body shots while Adesanya worked more on the leg kicks, but no significant damage was done at each end.

The fight took a different dimension in the third as Blachowicz tried to Adesanya on the mat but the Last Style Bender expertly broke loose from the hold. But there were many punches exchanged in the process.

The Polish Power finally got the Adesanya on his back in the championship round as the Polish fighter was in control using his body weight as an advantage in winning the fourth round.

Izzy started the last round on a promising note with several leg kicks and jabs but midway to the end he was taken down by Blachowicz.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya has figuratively stated that he will get the gold the whites took from Africa when he faces Jan Blachowicz for the light heavyweight title.

The 31-year-old is looking to become the first African-born double champion in UFC history if he records a win over the Polish Power.

Adesanya believes it is time the UFC have Africans take over the heaviest divisions as Cameroon's Francis Nganou takes on Stipe Miocic for the heavyweight crown.
