The Springboks started slowly against Scotland in their opening fixture of the tournament but put on a better showing in the second half.

The Boks came away with an 18-3, but it came at a price as well.

Eben Etzebeth suffered an injury during the encounter and had to be taken off and Malcolm Marx was injured during training for the game against Romania.

As noted by News24, he suffered a knee injury and has been ruled out of the tournament.

Coach Jacques Nienaber has also run in the changes for the clash, giving a break to some of his key players.

Betting on Romania (+65.5)

It’s been a baptism of fire for Romania at the World Cup.

Ranked 19th in the world, they took on Ireland in their first game before having to face South Africa.

Ireland and the Springboks are the number one and two-ranked teams in the world heading into the tournament.

The Romanians scored the opening try of the game against the Irish, but were then beaten comprehensively. Ireland claimed a huge 82-8 win in the end.

South Africa win and cover the spread (-65.5) against Romania.
