As reported by The Crown Chronicles, The Queen was one of the most successful racehorse owners in the Royal Family’s history.

Between 1988 and 2017, her horses ran in 2 830 races and won 451 of those races. As a result, she had won over £6.7 million in prize money and became the 11th most successful owner of horses racing on flat tracks.

The Queen also read The Racing Post every morning and visited her breeding grounds once a year.

Apart from horseracing, the Queen also had a great love for pigeon racing.

British Heritage reported that the Royal Family have been avid pigeon racers since 1886. Queen Elizabeth even remained the patron of several pigeon racing charities to this day.
