Betting on New Orleans Saints (-3)

How about that for a start?

New Orleans’ season is off to a flyer after the Saints edged past the Tennessee Titans in their opening game last Sunday.

Derek Carr impressed in his first game for the Saints, completing 23 of 33 passes for 305 yards and a touchdown against the Titans, per Yahoo Sports.

He sealed the win for the Saints with his 41-yard pass to Rashid Shaheed on 3rd-and-6 in the closing minutes that helped New Orleans run out the clock.

It was the Saints’ defense, however, that took center stage in Week 1. They intercepted Ryan Tannehill thrice and sacked him three times.

They also did not allow a touchdown in the season opener.

Betting on Carolina Panthers (+3)

The Carolina Panthers’ Week 1 woes continued on Sunday with a 24-10 loss to the Atlanta Falcons.

Bryce Young struggled in his professional debut, passing for just 146 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions.

His longest pass completion in the season opener against the Falcons went for just 14 yards, per ESPN.

They will look to get their season back on track when they host the Saints in a critical Week 2 clash at Bank of America Stadium tonight.

The Panthers have won their last two games against the Saints, including a 10-7 victory earlier this year.
