Dreadlocks, or locs, are unique hairstyles of rope-like strands made by braiding or interlocking the hair. Some communities consider dreads sacred, while others associate it with the Rastafarian movement and reggae music.

Almost every NFL team has a player with dreads. Former Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch is one of the most famous football players with dreads.
