  • Shaquille O'Neal named a big three he says can beat a three-man team of LeBron James, Stephen Curry and Giannis Antetokounmpo
  • Shaquille O'Neal's three-man team included Michael Jordan and Allen Iverson
  • Many fans felt O'Neal's team would easily win in a hypothetical

NBA legend Shaquille O'Neal has named a team that could beat a three-man team of Stephen Curry, LeBron James and Giannis Antetokounmpo in a three-on-three matchup.

In a hypothetical on Instagram, the Los Angeles Lakers legend said himself, Michael Jordan and Allen Iverson could beat the three 4-2 in a seven-game series.

Of the six players Shaq named, three are retired. Jordan retired 20 years ago, Iverson walked away in 2013, while O'Neal called it a day in 2011, per the New York Times.

Shaq is arguably the most dominant player of all time. He formed a devastating partnership with Bryant in the late 1990s and the 2000s. Shaq and Bryant led the Lakers to the last three-peat in the NBA.

O'Neal won four rings, Jordan won six, and Iverson retired without one.

Curry, James and Antetokounmpo are still among the top players in the NBA today and have won a total of nine rings in the NBA.

O'Neal vs James' big three

First of all, James's team will have a problem guarding O'Neal. The Lakers legend was an unstoppable force in the NBA, and few players could slow him down.

Antetokounmpo's lack of a great shot would make it difficult for him to score in the paint against O'Neal. Jordan presents James' team with another problem. The Chicago Bulls icon was unstoppable. Period.

Curry and Iverson would most likely cancel each other out, leaving James. The Lakers star can score whenever he wants, but it will probably leave them with a lot to do, given the force of O'Neal paired with Jordan. Fans in the comments overwhelmingly agreed that O'Neal's team would easily win.

Shaq rejects Top 10 list

Sports Brief earlier reported on Shaq rejecting a list of top 10 NBA players of all time because it didn't feature his teammate, Kobe Bryant.

Shaq shared a top 10 list made by Playmaker, and although he agreed with himself getting in the top 5, he didn't like that his former LA Lakers teammate, Kobe Bryant was omitted.

The late great Bryant was named 10th in the Athletic's top 75 NBA players of all time, with James coming first and Stephen Curry third.
