NBA players with dreads: Who has the best locks in the league right now?
NBA
Karl-Anthony Towns has established himself as one of the best big men in the NBA, but the three-time All-Star is still not in the same category as MVP centers Joel Embiid and Nikola Jokic.
That said, the Minnesota Timberwolves star believes that some NBA fans will say he "changed the game" after he retires from the league.
Towns made the statement during a recent appearance on the Pat Bev Podcast.
Towns told his former teammate:
"I feel like when my time's up and I retire and I put the shoes up... I feel like there's going to be people who are going to say that I changed the game. And I'm going to be very appreciative of that."

NBATowns was selected first overall by the Wolves in the 2015 NBA Draft and has spent his entire eight-year career in Minnesota.
He posted solid numbers last season, averaging 20.8 points, 8.1 rebounds, and 4.8 assists per game. Towns shot 49.5 percent from the field and 36.6 percent from the 3-point area.
However, the former Kentucky star missed much of the 2022-23 season due to injury.
Fans took to social media to blast Towns for his outlandish comments. Jokic and Embiid have dominated the NBA in the past years, combining for three MVP awards in the past three seasons.
Towns, on the other hand, has reached the playoffs just three times in the past eight seasons, with Minnesota losing in the first round on each of those occasions.
Most fans asked what Towns changed about the NBA.
Some fans made fun of Towns’ comments, writing he should change his nickname from KAT to KAP.
