Reigning NBA champions Golden State Warriors are not having a great season so far. Their 26-26 record perfectly sums up their performances throughout this season.

Moments of brilliance have quickly been followed by mediocre displays, meaning they are not improving the way they would've wanted.

Stephen Curry is playing at a level many fans want, however, they are yet to consistently kill games off. Curry is optimistic about their turn around but how long will that take as the All-Star break looms?

The Denver Nuggets handed them a second straight defeat after they blew another double-digit lead against the Minnesota Timberwolves. The Western Conference leaders won 134-117.

The seven-time NBA champions have been poor on the road this season. They are 7-20 on the road, with only the San Antonio Spurs and Houston Rockets having a worse record on the road in the West.

Curry's optimism

Despite all the problems they have encountered this season, Curry feels their fortunes can quickly change.

"Mostly optimistic, in terms of who we're capable of being, knowing, you know, flashes that we've shown throughout the season," via NBC Sports.

The 9x All-Star nevertheless said that they still have a way to go. He mentioned a few things the team needs to do to improve.

"Some of the other questions about our rotation and our defensive mindset, just our focus on that front, we have to address that and continue to hold ourselves accountable. But if everybody raises their level of play just a little bit, that's where I'm optimistic. I feel like we can do that."

Considering how chaotic the West has been this season, the Warriors surely need to go on a run and solidify a playoff spot. Although that may be their goal, they have tried and failed to mount a successful run of wins.

Curry and Ayesha dazzle at Sundance

Sports Brief earlier on Stephen and his wife Ayesha Curry looking fashionably dressed during the world premiere of Stephen's documentary, Stephen Curry: Underrated at the 2023 Sundance Film Festival.

The documentary told the story of how a little boy from North Carolina rose to iconic status, from Davidson College to NBA superstardom with the Golden State Warriors.

Ayesha opted for a brown twill jumpsuit, a leather bomber jacket and crocodile leather boots. Stephen on the other hand, wore a white long-sleeve zip-up sweater with a dark blue gilet on top.
