Nigerian Musician Mr Eazi Buys Shares in South African Basketball Team

Nigerian musician and business mogul, Mr Eazi has become a part owner of South African basketball team, Cape Town Tigers.

The Afrobeats star expanded his business activities after buying shares in the basketball team.

Mr Eazi, known in real life as Oluwatosin Ajibade, confirmed his new venture on social media, stating he picked inspiration from Jay Z.

"I read that Jay’z got shares in a NYC basketball team! So I had to do my own to follow my mentor!! Happy to announce I am now a shareholder of Cape Town Tigers, the best basketball team in Africa from now going forward! See you at the next game! Honoured to be part of The family," he wrote on Twitter.

Meanwhile, Jay Z in the past had shares in NBA franchise the Brooklyn Nets.

Mr Eazi has several business ventures and is currently part of the sponsors of the Ghana Premier League. He is also known for giving upcoming artist the chance to shine with his emPAWA platform.

Mr Eazi spotted supporting Ghana

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Nigerian music superstar Mr Eazi travelled to Qatar, to watch the Black Stars of Ghana play South Korea at the Education City Stadium on Monday.

The Black Stars defeated the Asian giants in a thrilling encounter, to improve their chances of qualifying for the last 16 of the World Cup.

Goals from Mohammed Salisu and Mohammed Kudus helped the four-time African champions win in a five-goal thriller, and they will now face Uruguay in the critical final group game.

Adebayor spends time with family

Emmanuel Adebayor seems to have smoked the peace pipe with his family after spending time with them at a beach resort in Lomé, Togo.

Adebayor is loving life after a successful football career, which is yet to officially come to an end.

The former Arsenal and Manchester City player is yet to announce his retirement after last signing for Togolese club Semassi.
