Shaquille O'Neal retired from the NBA in 2011 after 19 hugely successful seasons in the league. However, as an analyst and a businessman, the giant center has been receiving checks.

In mid-last year, the four-time NBA champion splashed the cash and bought a Texas luxury mansion.

Shaq went to Cole High School in San Antonio, and it was only right he returned to his roots. He still loves his hometown, too. In April 2022, he announced plans to bring Shaq's Big Chicken to San Antonio. The big man also sold his mega-mansion for $11 million last year.

While the final sale price wasn’t disclosed, his new home in Texas was built in 2005 and was last on the market in April 2022 for $1,224,900. The former Orlando Magic big man was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame in 2016.

Shaq eats a frog

Sports Brief earlier reported on Shaq eating frog legs on live television after losing a bet to fellow panelist Ernie Johnson.

Johnson came into Thursday's TNT coverage wearing a Bulldogs helmet and a covered silver platter. Underneath the covered plate were some frog legs, which O'Neal was ready to enjoy.

Although Shaq looked like he was enjoying his frog legs, panelist Kenny Smith did not like it.

"I just wanna let y'all know, these frog legs good. These are the best frog legs I've done had ever. You didn't think I was gonna do it, did you?"
