Lewis Hamilton is back, and fans of the Mercedes driver are over the moon that the star driver has finally broken his social media silence.

Since that controversial race, Hamilton has only made one public appearance, in which he was knighted by the Prince of Wales at Windsor Castle.

He was notably absent on social media and even boycotted the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile’s (FIA) prize-giving ceremony at the end of the season.

Hamilton though announced his return via his Twitter account and fans are excited at the thought of seeing Lewis challenge for a record eight drivers’ title.

The Express also reported that Mercedes had confirmed Hamilton’s comeback.

While some on social media accused Hamilton of being a cry baby, many were excited at his return and were looking forward to seeing him take on Hamilton on Maz Verstappen.
