Israel Adesanya defeated Alex Pereira with one of the greatest knckouts ever to become the new undisputed UFC middleweight champion of the world.

The Last Stylebender won back his championship belt after falling to the Brazilian fighter at UFC 281 five months ago.

This is the first time in four fights that Adesanya has got the better of Pereira, having already lost twice to the Perreira in the past outside of the UFC.

On Sunday morning at the FTX Arena in Miami at the main event of UFC 287, Adesanya claimed his sweet revenge with a brutal knockout, Supersport reported.

Sports Brief has spotted a short clip showing some of his highlights in the fight between the two rivals.

In the video, Adesanya appeared more muscular than in the previous fight and was much more aggressive as he kept Pereira on the back foot.

Just as it appeared that Adesanya was in trouble with his back to the cage, the 33-year-old caught Pereira with a few hard right hooks to put him to sleep.

Former UFC heavyweight champion Franci Ngannou Ngannou was also quick to praise his fellow African compatriot, describing him as the best Middleweight of all time.

Their previous fight

Pereira and Adesanya previously fought in November 2022 for the Middleweight title.

Poatan, who was the challenger at the time, won the fight and title with a fifth-round technical knockout of the champion.

Adesanya was in control of the fight until the referee’s stoppage and looked certain to defend his title on the judges’ scorecards.

Adesanya to move to WWE?

Sports Brief recently reported on Israel Adesanya's comments about possibly joining WWE in the near future.

The fighter was asked about that after Endeavor, the company that owns the UFC, agreed to purchase the wrestling company.

Adesanya responded by saying that moving to the WWE was something for a bit later down the line.
