Incredible UFC Fighter Kamaru Usman Reveals Reason Why He Won’t Fight Israel Adesanya

Nigerian-American professional Mixed Martial Artist (MMA) Kamarudeen Usman has disclosed that he would not stage a fight with Israel Adesanya despite his ambitions.

Usman disclosed that their Nigerian heritage will prevent such a fight from ever happening as they continue to dominate their respective categories.

Both fighters are two of the biggest UFC stars in the world, and Usman once hinted that he could go up 35lb and bypass middleweight, where Adesanya currently reigns.

And fans have continued to suggest a fight between the duo as they would be fascinated seeing them match up.

In fact, since becoming two champions in MMA's top division, Usman and Adesanya have gotten even closer.

Usman told BT Sport:

"It's bigger than just sport because I didn't grow up seeing this. I never grew up and saw 'oh wow, I could be an MMA fighter and be the world champion.
“I never grew up seeing that. But kids now get the privilege of seeing that.
"And not just one champion, you have two, and we're different flavours, we're completely different flavours. Izzy does it with his flair, I love his flavour and how he does it.
“Then I do it with my style. This is just different styles for them to be able to see and pick from, so that means more to me; having two Nigerian champions than just one."

Sports Brief earlier reported that Mohammed Usman, the younger brother of UFC welterweight champion Kamaru Usman, handed his opponent a devastating knockout in his promotional debut.

It was gathered that the heavyweight fighter landed a brutal punch to knockout Zac Pauga to become the new Ultimate Fighter champion.

Before he progressed to the final, Mohammed Usman defeated Mitchell Stipe and Eduardo Perez by decisions, but he took his fate into his own hands at the UFC APEX facility.
