Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen is reportedly set to benefit from a significant financial windfall as Galatasaray SK edge closer to wrapping up another Turkish Super Lig championship.

According to reports, Galatasaray president Dursun Ozbek and the club’s board have approved a squad-wide bonus package worth €10 million — the equivalent of roughly ₦16 billion — to be distributed among players once the title is officially confirmed. Osimhen, as one of the team’s key contributors this season, is expected to receive a portion of that sum.

The Istanbul club require just one more victory to mathematically clinch the Super Lig crown. Should they secure that result, it would represent the club’s 26th league title in their history and a fourth successive domestic championship — underlining Galatasaray’s sustained dominance in Turkish football over recent years.

Osimhen joined Galatasaray on loan from Napoli ahead of the 2024/25 season after a high-profile summer that saw a proposed move to Chelsea and interest from several top European clubs fail to materialise. The Super Eagles striker has continued his prolific form in Istanbul, playing a central role in the club’s title charge throughout the campaign.

The 26-year-old forward has been among the most consistent attacking threats in the Super Lig this season, reinforcing his reputation as one of African football’s premier strikers. His time at Galatasaray has kept him in the spotlight ahead of what is expected to be another busy transfer window, with his long-term future at Napoli still unresolved.

Galatasaray have spent the majority of the season at the summit of the Super Lig table and are now on the verge of completing the title defence in dominant fashion. The four-peat, if achieved, would further cement the club’s status as the defining force in Turkish domestic football during this era.

For Osimhen, silverware and a substantial bonus bonus now appear within reach as the season enters its final stages.
