It was more good news for the highly ambitious TS Galaxy this week.

Fresh from stunning the formidable DStv Premiership perennial champions Mamelodi Sundowns in the opening match of the new season, the Rockets then went on to announce their acquisition of Kaizer Chiefs legend Bernard Parker.

According to The South African, the 35-year-old former Bafana Bafana striker had been widely expected to sign with SuperSport United, having been training with the team since becoming a free agent. However, Kick Off confirmed that he instead signed with Galaxy.

A tweet from the club read:

"TS Galaxy Football Club has captured the signature of former Bafana Bafana international, @BernardParker on a two-year contract. Welcome to the Rockets @BernardParker! #Siyadumuza #TheRockets #TSG"

The response to the move was positive.

Happy Jele might just join Royal AM after all.

As reported by Sports Brief, the legendary former Orlando Pirates defender and captain surprisingly left the club at the end of last season, and had been credibly linked to Thwihli Thwahla.

This move was expected to happen during the off-season, but is yet to materialise.
