  • Cristian Stellini made some interesting remarks in his first presser as acting head coach of Tottenham Hotspur
  • The Italian addressed claims that the North London club was in a crisis after the sacking of Antonio Conte
  • He also revealed he had Conte’s ‘blessing’ to take up the role on temporary basis

After what has been a tumultuous week for Tottenham Hotspur, acting head coach Cristian Stellini has come out to set the record state on the state of the club at the moment.

Conte left the Tottenham job by mutual consent after 16 months in charge, and his dismissal came in the wake of an explosive post-match press conference.

The club was also dealt another blow after it was announced on Friday that managing director Fabio Paratici would be taking a leave of absence after Fifa extended his ban.

Things appear so thick at Tottenham that the club’s Tottenham Supporters' Trust described their woes as “one mess after another”.

“No crisis”

Amid so much going on off the pitch, Stellini is not worried as he reiterated the club was stable, despite everything.

"When you take decisions for the best you are not in crisis." He said as quoted on BBC,
"If you have some matters, we have to stay compact and we have to stick together to move on and play the matches," added Stellini, who has been appointed acting head coach until the end of the season.
