Tottenham star Christian Romero has sparked reactions after a video of him slide-tackling his one-year-old son surfaced online.

Romero and his partner Karen Cavaller only added their son, Valentino, to their brood in late December 2021.

However, the Spurs defender is wasting no time teaching his son how to become a footballer.

According to The Sun, the kickabout culminated in Romero jokingly slide-tackling the young one before sweetly hugging him.

The defender's sweet moment with the son had fans talking online, with one saying:

"Even Romero’s own baby ain’t safe lmao."

A second admitted:

"Much more wholesome ending than I expected."

A third observed:

"Almost hits him like he hits all his rivals."

Romero shines for Tottenham

The video surfaced just days after Romero staged an impressive performance for Tottenham against West Ham United.

The Argentine was heavily involved in the clash as Tottenham stunned West Ham 2-0 to break into the top four.

Emerson Royal opened the scoring for Spurs in the second half before Heung-Min Son came off the bench to seal the win for the north Londoners.

Spurs' win was enough to help them leapfrog Newcastle United for the fourth spot.

How Spurs fans welcomed Conte

Sports Brief earlier reported that Spurs fans praised Conte's commitment after he returned to England a week after his surgery, labelling him a warrior.

It was apparent he ignored medical advice and looked not like his usual energetic self on the touchline in the two games he managed.

Their joy has now been short-lived as he returns to his home country with no specified return date.
