A disgusting racist incident overshadowed Brazil's emphatic 5-1 win over Tunisia in an international friendly in PSG's Paris.

While Richarlison was celebrating Brazil's second goal, some fans directed objects at the Brazilian team, one of which was clearly a banana.

According to the Daily Mail, Manchester United midfielder, Fred kicked the banana away as Brazil players walked away. This was Brazil's last friendly before the World Cup, and they showed why they are favourites in Qatar.

Brazil condemn the disturbing incident

Before the game, Brazilian players held banners that read, 'Without our black players, we wouldn't have stars on our shirts'. The incident saw the Brazilian Football Federation (CBF) issue a statement on the incident on Twitter.

Unfortunately, a banana was thrown on the pitch toward Richarlison, scorer of the second Brazilian goal. 'The CBF reinforces its position to combat racism and repudiates any manifestation of prejudice.'

CBF president Ednaldo Rodrigues reiterated the importance of love towards any human being.

Once again, I come publicly to express my rejection. This time I saw it with my own eyes. This shocks us. We must always remember that we are all the same, regardless of colour, race or religion.

The Spurs star's goal had put the five-time world champions back in front after Tunisia's Montassar Talbi cancelled out Raphinha's opening goal. Neymar added a penalty, Raphinha claimed his second and Pedro wrapped up the win after the north Africans had Dylan Bronn sent off.

Richarlison scores brace against Ghana

Sports Brief earlier reported on Richarlison scoring a brace for Brazil when they easily dispatched African giants Ghana in a friendly encounter.

Richarlison's form for Brazil means he is certain to earn a spot in Brazil's World Cup squad as they attempt to win their first World Cup since 2002.
