Harry Kane has named Chelsea legend John Terry as the toughest defender he has ever come up against in his stellar career.

The England captain took to Twitter on Thursday, August 18 to engage in a Q and a session with his fans and in the process, revealed some interesting details about himself and career.

His session was in celebration of 10 years since he made his Premier League debut.

Kane also named England nemesis Giorgio Chiellini as another defender who has given him serious problems.

'There are a few who have been the toughest I have faced in my career,' Kane shared through a video on his Instagram stories.

'Early on facing John Terry, [he was] just a really smart defender, knew where to put his body, knew how to stop my runs, so that was a great learning curve.'

John Terry made more than 500 appearances in the Premier League before his retirement in 2018.

In his career, the 41-year old clashed with Kane severally and the more significant battles have been the infamous “Battle of the Bridge” which is the derby involving Tottenham and Chelsea.

Kane also cheekily added Chiellini, saying:

“I obviously played against him against Italy and against Juventus.”
“Again, really smart, strong, and physical.”

Other questions

Kane also answered a wide variety of question from his fans, including what it was like playing alongside last season’s top scorer Heung Min Son.

He hailed Son as a ‘fantastic player’, adding that the South Korean was brilliant in person as well.
