  • Jerome Boateng has advised his former club Bayern Munich to buy Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane as a replacement for Robert Lewandowski
  • Boateng believes that Kane is a complete striker that can perform exceptionally well at Bayern Munich given his prime age
  • Luring Kane away from Spurs won’t be an easy task for the German giants, especially with Antonio Conte in charge of the North London club

Jerome Boateng has asked his former club Bayern Munich to go all out and sign Harry Kane. Boateng believes that the Englishman will be a perfect replacement for Robert Lewandowski.

Lewandowski’s contract is up in the air, with numerous reports suggesting that he has refused to extend his contract. Barcelona and Chelsea have already expressed interest in signing the Polish international.

And now Boateng wants the Bayern hierarchy to move in for Kane. Kane came close to leaving the club last summer for Manchester City, but a deal fell through. He has in the past expressed his desire to win trophies.

Inside Futbol reports that Boateng is impressed by Kane’s ability to take over from Lewandowski.

Many strikers have impressed me and at the moment Bayern Munich have the best with Lewy. Karim Benzema can also be mentioned with the season he has had. Personally, I would immediately try to get Harry Kane at Bayern as a replacement for Lewandowski.

Kane has recently expressed his enthusiasm for playing under Tottenham Hotspur boss Antonio Conte. The Italian manager has the potential to make Spurs a competitive team.

The 29-year-old praised his manager, as quoted by The Sun.

I have no idea about Conte’s future to be honest, that’s his decision. But he has worked really hard while he has been here, he’s a great guy, a really passionate man, so whatever his decision is you have to respect it. But for sure, I am enjoying it and I know the boys are enjoying working with him.
I have said I am a big fan of his and we get on really well so of course it would be great for the club if he stays.

Kane is a prolific striker in his prime and Boateng believes he can do better at Bayern Munich.

For me, Kane is a complete striker who scores goals every day for Spurs, who are very good but not a world-class team.
If he plays in a team like Bayern, I think he is a super replacement for Lewandowski as he is still in a very good football age.

Boateng left Bayern Munich in 2021 after 10 years with the Bavarian giants. He now plays for French club Olympique Lyon.

Son angered after being taken off

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Son Heung Min openly showed his discontent at being taken off in the second half during the entertaining North London derby on Thursday, May 12.

Tottenham had the perfect evening as they ran out 3-0 winners against their city rivals, in a game where Son found the net yet again.

With his goal, the South Korean moved to within a goal of top scorer Mohammed Salah in the Premier League with two games of the season to go.
