- The former Inter Milan manager has in the past criticised Tottenham’s readiness to play and is set to demand for key signings if he is to stay at the club
Tottenham Hotspurs are readying themselves for a squad overhaul with close to eight players set to leave. Head coach Antonio Conte and director of football Fabio Paratici are looking to build a competitive squad ahead of next season.
Conte has been critical of the club's players and is said to be ready to move on a couple of faces. Rumours have also continued to swirl around his future, with Paris Saint Germain keen on bringing him on as head coach.
Details emerged of how Conte is set for crunch talks with Daniel Levy at the end of the season. The Italian manager is set to demand new players if he is to stay at the club.
The Mirror now reports that Steven Bergwijn and Tanguy Ndombele are among the players that are set to be sold in the summer. Bergwijn has struggled for game time since joining from PSV Eindhoven. He has further fallen down the pecking order with the arrival of Dejan Kulusevski.
Ndombele and Lo Celso out of favour
Ndombele meanwhile fell out with Conte and was shipped out to Olympique Lyon on loan. Giovani Lo Celso was also sent to Villarreal on loan, and it appears he won’t be coming back to the club.
Conte is also said to be targeting new defenders, with Colombian Davinson Sanchez set to end his five-year stay with Spurs. Sanchez has paid second fiddle to the trio of Cristian Romero, Ben Davies and Eric Dier.

FootballSpurs will also look at the possibility of creating funds by selling Sergio Regullion, Lucas Moura and Matt Doherty. They have been in and out of Conte’s team but could be sold to create space for imminent arrivals.
Harry Winks and Joe Rodon are the other players who will be keen to seek moves away. The duo have rarely played at Spurs this season and could look for game time elsewhere.
If Spurs fail to qualify for next year's Champions League, a revamp of the squad will be a necessity so as not to further slip behind their rivals.
Eriksen a prime target for Conte
Sports Brief had reported that Cristian Eriksen is one of the targets for Conte in the summer. The former Inter Milan manager will be happy to reunite with the midfielder at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Eriksen left the club in 2020 for Inter Milan and suffered a chilling heart problem last year. He has since made a full recovery.
