Oshoala Nets As Barcelona Femeni Beat Sociedad To Win Super Cup

Barcelona Femení have been crowned champions of the Spanish Women’s Super Cup after beating Real Sociedad 3-0 on Sunday, 22 January, with Nigerian striker Asisat Oshoala netting the third goal.

It was a good win for Oshoala and her teammates who have now won the title for the second season running and extend their unbeaten run in domestic competitions to 58 games.

The victory for Barcelona Femeni came just a week after the club's male team defeated Real Madrid in the final of the Super Cup played in Saudi Arabia.

How it happened

Aitana Bonmati scored the first goal in the 13th minute, and registered the second in the 47th minute before Oshoala got her own in the 97th minute.

According to the report on Thisday, Oshoala and her teammates have now won the Super Cup in three of the four years since it was created in 2020.

Oshoala nets brace for Barcelona Femeni

Earlier, Sports Brief had reported how Nigerian striker Asisat Oshoala on Saturday night, 14 January, continued with her impressive form this season for Barcelona netting brace against Sporting Huelva.

It was a good win for Oshoala and her teammates who recorded an emphatic 3-0 win over the hosts in what was a tough encounter.

Huelva went into this game with the target of them recording a win in front of their fans, but they met a more determined Barcelona side.

Barcelona started the match impressively with flurry of attacks.

The Nigerian scored the first goal for Barcelona in the 21st minute before Mariaona doubled the lead in the 32nd minute.

Oshoala scored her second goal in the 57th minute.

Oshoala, Alozie Spotted Dancing

Sports Brief also reported how Super Falcons striker, Asisat Oshoala together with Michelle Alozie and Gift Monday, were spotted showing off their dancing skills while vibing to Wande Coal's Iskaba.

The female Nigerian stars decided to have fun by dancing while they were in the national team camp.

Wande Coal is not a new face in the Nigerian music industry, as he had featured on stage with the likes of D Banj and Don Jazzy.

Iskaba is one of the leading songs in the country and many parts of the world, with the singer attracting numerous fans after making his name in the industry.
