Super Falcons Star Joins Asisat Oshoala, Ajibade in Spain From Nigerian Club

  • Nigerian star Gift Monday has moved to UDG Tenerife from Nigerian club FC Robo signing a three-year deal
  • Since 2019, Gift Monday has played 10 games for the Super Falcons of Nigeria and has scored two goals
  • At FC Robo where she moved to Europe, Gift Monday was able to play 13 games for the Nigerian club

Super Falcons striker Gift Monday has also moved to the Spanish La Liga where she has joined the likes of Asisat Oshoala, Rasheedat Ajibade who has been playing in Spain.

This comes after Spanish club UDG Tenerife signed the 20-year-old from Nigerian club FC Robo in what turned out to be a dream move for Gift Monday.

FC Robo is one of the biggst female clubs in Nigeria which has produced many players and interestingly, it also produced Asisat Oshoala.

Asisat Oshoala has however grown up to become one of the best female players in the world and an important member of the Super Falcons and Barcelona.

Oshoala played for Robo Queens from 2009 to 2013 after which she left to join the more established Bayelsa Queens.

Lookman Shines, Praised by Coach As Atalanta Record Big Win Over Tough Opponents

Earlier, Sports Brief had reported how Super Eagles forward Ademola Lookman, on Monday night, 5 September, played a significant role in helping his club Atalanta record a 2-0 win over hosts Monza in Italian Serie A encounter.

Although the match was not an easy one for Ademola Lookman and his teammates, but they made sure in the second half that they got the maximum three points.

Playing in front of their fans, Monza players started the encounter aggressively, trying to find the back of the net in the early minutes, but all their efforts were futile as the first half ended goalless.

Ademola Lookman provided the assist that helped Atalanta to score their first goal in the 57th minute through Rasmus Hojlund.
