Asisat Oshoala has picked her favourite women’s 5-aside team and has handpicked former Super Falcons captain, Perpetua Nkwocha to lead her team.

The 27-year-year-old forward also picked Super Falcons icon, Florence Omagbemi to star alongside current captain of Nigeria, Onome Ebi in her defense.

Oshoala who was speaking to FIFA’S Women’s World Cup Twitter handle, included Paris FC goalkeeper, Chiamaka Nnadozie as her goalkeeper after extolling the 21-year-old’s qualities.

The FC Barcelona Femeni player caused a stir in her choice in attack as she neglected Super Falcons legend, Mercy Akide in favour of Perpetua Nkwocha while also picking herself in a two-woman attack.

Oshoala has enjoyed one of her best productive seasons with Barcelona as she has won the Pichicgi award in Spain with 20 goals.

Oshoala leads Barcelona Femeni to Turin for Champions League final

Meanwhile, Asisat Oshoala will be hoping to win the UEFA Champions League for the second successive year when Barcelona Femeni takes on Lyon in the final slated for Italy.

According to Pulse Sports, the Super Falcons striker has landed in Turin alongside her teammates as they seek revenge against Lyon who defeated the Spanish team in 2019.

This will be Oshoala’s third UEFA Champions League final as the Nigerian will hope to be listed in the starting line-up this term after featuring in the last two editions as a substitute.

Asisat Oshoala makes history in Spain

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Asisat Oshoala has been crowned the Women's Spanish Primera Division top scorer for the 2021/22 season after a brilliant campaign with Champions, Barcelona Femeni.

The 27-year-old scored a total of 20 goals to win the Pichichi award ahead of a close competitor in Real Madrid’s Geyse with 19 goals.

The Nigerian striker missed four months of the season through injuries but defied the setback to emerge as the league’s top scorer.
